Innie body types have less exposed soft tissue areas, meaning the surface area to the soft tissue is not as large. The crotch area will often be smoother and a smaller relief channel can be used.
Outie body types will have more exposed soft tissue, so they will have more surface area to the soft tissue. The crotch area will often be larger, thus needing a larger relief channel.

Please select the type of mountain bike you own & select the average time per ride.
The mountain bike with a suspension fork up front only and no suspension in the rear, hence “hardtail”.
The mountain bike with impact-absorbing suspension for both wheels.
Most of my riders are below the 2½ hours per ride.
My rides will easily exceed the 2½ hour time mark and can also stretch from 3 to 5 hours.
Typical Age Group racer using a clip-on aero bar on a road bike.
Clip-on aero bars will level or are positioned higher than the seat.
Fast age group racer competing in all distances.
Usually rides 150 – 200 miles a week.
Aero bars will be positioned in a 3cm – 8cm drop below the seat.
Elite or professional athlete who usually does longer events or fast club TT races.
Aero bars will be positioned in a 9cm – 18cm drop below the seat.
The comfort rider or long distance ride setup. People looking for a comfortable and fun ride on the weekend.
Handlebars generally are level or positioned higher than the seat.
Fast club rider or longer recreational rider. Typical: Gran Fondo or Century rides or fast club rides.
Handlebars will be positioned in a 3cm – 8cm drop below the seat.
Aggressive road racer, usually a fast racer whether at club level or licensed events.
Handlebars will be positioned in a 9cm – 18cm drop below the seat.
